Discover the Healing Powers of Plants!

In this 3-hour workshop, participants will be introduced to the healing powers of plant medicine. The workshop will explore the traditional uses of native Hawaiian plants for health and wellness, as well as the healing powers of introduced plants. 

The Full-Day Workshop (5 hours) expands on the content of the half-day workshop by offering a deeper exploration into particular plant medicines. Participants will:

• Engage in hands-on activities, creating remedies (e.g., tinctures, teas, oil infusor salves).
• Receive a Lāʻau Kit, which includes tools and supplies to continue making remedies.

With more time for practical learning, the full-day workshop provides an immersive experience. "Ma ka hana, ka ʻike." One learns through doing. 

Lāʻau Kit Includes:

•  Identification cards of lāʻau 
• container(s) to soak/store lāʻau 
• all containers needed to make an oil, tincture, oxymel or salve (glass bottle, dropper bottle, spray bottle, &/or tin)
• Cheesecloth or strainer
• tea bags
• small funnel
• All other supplies needed: Dried and/or fresh lāʻau, oils, alcohol, apple cider vinegar, beeswax, etc
